Working on Wurundjeri, Gadigal and Turrbal lands
August is flying by fast – mostly because we’ve been at full speed on some seriously exciting projects.
However, we did find the time to take a brief pause as a team retreat to recharge and do some reflecting. Keep reading to see what we did, and what we discovered.
Sometimes you have to disconnect to reconnect with what matters. We recently packed the cars and drove down to the Great Ocean Road Resort for a day of revitalisation, great food and discussion about all things ‘levelling up’.
We had a whirlwind day full of yoga, breathwork, local wine tasting, goal setting and brainstorming – all against the stunning backdrop of the beach.
Armed with some fierce ambition (and new mindfulness exercises) we feel re-energised and ready to take on the rest of the year!
One week out from the Mumbrella Travel Marketing Awards (did we mention we’re up for Marketing Agency of the Year?!) and we’ve been reflecting on what might’ve resonated with the judges.
There’s so much recent work that we’re proud of – it was hard to choose what went into the submission. From amplifying another massive AIME, to helping to sell out High Country Hop through strategic digital marketing, setting up a robust brand platform for Echuca Moama, and making some noise about Melbourne Airport’s Laneway – it’s been a monumental year so far and it’s only August.
Or maybe it was our almost two decades of experience creating tourism marketing that truly moves people. Either way, we’ll be at the ceremony on the 27th crossing our fingers and toes!
Meanwhile our clients are taking home wins.
A big congratulations to the team at Visit Echuca Moama for taking home the crown for Echuca at the VTIC Top Tourism Town Awards!
The Murray River magic of the town has always deserved gold in our eyes, but last week they were awarded the actual Gold.
We’ve loved helping to tell the story of these twin towns since coming on board at the start of the year, and this is a testament to all of the hard working people in this truly special community.
Now they’re up for the title of Australia’s Top Tourism Town award – we know who we’re rooting for!
