QUEEN VICTORIA
MARKET

Victoria’s most visited tourist attraction, Queen Victoria Market, has been a client since 2011.

Queen Victoria Market needs no introduction (!) although did you know it covers over seven hectares in Melbourne’s CBD and is the largest open air market in the Southern Hemisphere? It’s home to hundreds of stallholders spanning deli; meat, poultry and seafood; fruit & veg; specialty food; and a wide variety of general merchandise. It’s one of Victoria’s most visited tourist attractions.

The day market operates all year round and seasonal night markets occur on Wednesdays, bringing vibrant food and drinks, entertainment and an unmatched festive atmosphere week after week.

In a COVID-normal world, our challenge is to keep the day market top of mind for Melbournians as both a great place to do their shopping and a great place to be, along with attracting tourists, and to drive awareness and patronage of the night markets.

In a COVID-normal world, our challenge is to keep the day market top of mind for Melbournians as both a great place to do their shopping and a great place to be, along with attracting tourists, and to drive awareness and patronage of the night markets.

Through a strong client relationship and productive partnerships with key stakeholders including the City of Melbourne, Visit Victoria and many others, we seek out and disseminate engaging stories about the market via media, social media influencers and partner channels. These stories are gleaned through an ongoing curiosity and news nouse applied to uncovering the stories of traders and their produce, strategic consideration of events, launches and other news and both proactive and reactive news media relations.

This consultative, strategic approach results in a steady flow of proactive positive exposure across mainstream and niche broadcast, online and print media. We’re talking many millions of dollars worth of publicity generated on an ongoing basis, with new news announced by us in the media at least once a day (on average).
