Last Wednesday, the LBMPR team helped launch the earth food mecca that is Georgie’s Harvest.   Georgina along with her husband Michael have been running their quaint stall on Coventry Street in the South Melbourne Market since 2011, but with Christopher Beaumont’s beautiful painting for Georgie’s Havest now complete and on show and truffle season in full swing, now is the time to really celebrate!

The party showcased the season’s finest produce.  From potatoes to garlic and beetroot to ginger, the store was alive with ‘all that’s good from the ground’.  As a special treat, Georgina’s truffle farmer, Steve, joined in the celebrations, showing off a whopping $900 truffle for guests to sniff.

The menu from the talented team at Claypots Evening Star featured truffles and potatoes and did a great job of warming up the more than 100 Melbourne foodies and media who came out to celebrate this marvellous place on a cold winter’s night.

The best news is, you too can enjoy Georgie’s Harvest on market days all year around.  Pop in, say hi to Georgina and shop up on ‘all that’s good from the ground’…
